I went to Marlfields School, Congleton with Suzanne. She was a dear friend to me during our time there. Her love of Am Dram no doubt started there, she was always singing and dancing and we were in many School plays together. We both ended up at different secondary schools after our time at Marlfields and my family moved back to the North East in the early 70s and we lost touch. I found Suzanne again on Facebook during lockdown as we discovered we were both in a the same fb group and i spotted her distinctive surname! I learnt about her Cancer diagnosis and struggles with treatment which she documented extremely well. I found an old photo of us together front row in the Marlfields Choir, performing at the Town Hall in Congleton, captured by the local newspaper. I will remember her as i have over the years as my friend, always smiling, gorgeous giggly, talented girl who made me laugh, and sang and danced her way through every school day. I now live in Durham and when i heard she had lost her battle and passed, i lit a candle for her in Durham Cathedral Rest now dear Suze 💔xx
